Confusion and overwhelm are information. Guidance in disguise for all intents and purposes. But what do these emotions tell us? What do those feelings that can feel the heaviest mean? Often, we ‘muscle through’, carrying on with our tasks, activities and day to day lives without exploring the root of these feelings. At times, we may even look to external opinions and remedies to understand or camouflage these messengers.

But what would happen if we gave ourselves permission to stop? To sit and be still. To explore our own inner dialogue and feelings to get to the root of heaviness which can present in a variety of ways depending on each person. Anger, irritability, sadness, depression, self-deprecation, or sometimes presenting as a decline in overall health.

A 'Normal' Part of Life?

What’s even more curious than the effect confusion and overwhelm can have on our bodies, is contemplating the reasons why we tolerate them. The reasons why we may consider these feelings a normal part of life or a natural by-product of success when our bodies literally rebel against prolonged exposure and weight of these emotions when left unprocessed.

Guidance, Alignment

Creating space to receive guidance.

That is not to say that we should never feel confused or overwhelmed. We are human and we need the blessed wide array of emotion we feel to guide us into well-being and alignment. Into ease and flow. Therein lies the power in moments of stillness. To sit with ourselves and truly listen to what our bodies and emotions are saying to us. To quiet the noise, including the voices and opinions of so many others, and learn to hear and trust our own voice. Our own bodies. Our own messengers which come in the form of energy in motion or emotion.

Emotional Guidance: A Happy Life

When it comes to positive or negative emotion, let them be a guide toward a happy life which we can reach for moment by moment. Contrary to popular opinion, your life is supposed to be full of positive emotion and happy moments.

Moment of guidance

Every moment is a reset.

Follow the messengers of your life to joy, happiness, ease, and flow. Do more of what makes you happy. And if and when confusion and overwhelm present themselves, sit with them. Listen to what they’ve come to tell you. Thank them and move accordingly.  Be present with yourself. Understand the energy. Understand your life. <3
